How much funding can you receive?
The current level of Access To Work funding available per year is £60,700. This is the maximum amount of funding that can be provided. Of course, you do not have to take the full amount. At the time of writing, there is no minimum amount for an Access To Work claim.
When procuring a product or service through Access To Work, a grant will be offered to cover the amount of time the product or service will be used for work purposes. The grant will be allocated for each day of employment you complete in a normal working week. For example, if you work five days per week, Access To Work will typically offer you 5/7ths of the cost of the product/service. The remaining 2/7ths is referred to as Social and Domestic Contribution (SDC). The SDC, where applicable, is paid by the individual. If your product/service is only ever used whilst you are in work then Access To Work will cover the full cost of the product/service.
If you are required to pay a Social and Domestic Contribution, there are additional charities and funds available if you do not have sufficient funds yourself. If you’d like to know more information about this, use the contact form at the bottom of this page and get in touch with us.
