Needing to put a fresh, new tyre on your Batec, but not sure how? This easy, step-by-step guide is the one for you.
Changing tyres can usually be quite tricky, however with our handy, step-by-step guide, anyone can change their Batec tyre with complete ease!
Tools you will need:
– 5mm Allen Key
– 13mm & 19 mm fixed wrench
– 8-40 Nm torque wrench
– Tyre irons
– New tyre (Can be any 20″ x 2″ tyre) – Batec tyre is Maxxis Creepy Crawler 20″ x 2″
– New inner tube

STEPS
1 – Lay down the Batec in an appropriate working position. 2, 3, 4 – Remove both calipers by extracting the 4 screws marked in the picture below. 5, 6 – Loosen up only the left motor screw as shown in the picture. 7 – Remove the handle by unscrewing the 2 screws shown in the picture below. 8 – Extract the weight brackets. 9 – Extract the left dropout. Batec tyre 10, 11 – After this you are able to replace the tyre and the inner tube. 12 - Once changed the tyre and/or the inner tube, replace all components removed earlier in the opposite direction to removal. 13 - Tighten the screw motor at 40 Nm 14 – Tighten the brake’s screws at 8 Nm.
